100% Cotton

The cotton used is a 90/2 count very fine and precious Egyptian cotton.

Mercerisation is a treatment that improves the cotton’s properties: the fibres swell and become circular rather than flat.

The cotton thus has a greater shine while acquiring additional physical characteristics to make it an optimal choice by increasing:

• its strength and consequently its resistance to tearing
• its capacity for dyeing, thus increasing the brilliance of the colour, the intensity of the tone and its stability in subsequent washes, all while reducing the amount of dye needed
• its hygroscopicity, i.e. the ability to absorb and disperse water, offering greater breathability for the body with fabrics used in garments.

These characteristics together lend the cotton a “pearly” quality of great beauty and lustre, soft to the touch and with a feeling of freshness for the body’s breathing.
